Gambling As time marches on into the twenty first century, gambling has become an increasing problem in the United Sates. The continuing problem has hurt the lives of many often leading to actions such as suicides. The problem with gambling today is it is not taken as a serious problem by the American world. About 3.2& of adults, and 2.2% of youth, are affected by moderate to severe problem gambling. A survey conducted in 2001-2006 suggests that the provinces, which have the highest rates of gambling, are Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and Quebec and New Brunswick have the lowest. These people have all engaged in gambling though the effects that they experience are not the same to each other. However, with the advancement of technology, gambling has evolved and developed which leads to an increase of availability and accessibility to its different forms. According to utilitarianism, gambling is morally right if one feels happy on the end result of the activity.
